Hi Rob,

If you have an appropriate smearing file, you should:

1) checkout the LCDetectors package from SLAC cvs
2) add your .properties file to the right detector area
3) create an alias for your detector to your local detectors area
4) try running it again

You can find instructions for step (1) on http://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/ilc/LCDetectors .

For step (3), create (or edit) file ~/.lcsim/alias.properties with a line containing e.g. for detector sidaug05_tcmt:

-----
sidaug05_tcmt: file:///your/full/path/to/detectors/sidaug05_tcmt
-----

For step (2), you mention you have the right file. If you don't, try searching for the missing property's string in a more complete detector (e.g. sid01). For instance, for the parameter TanLambdaErrorScale:

------
bash> find ./sid01 | grep properties$ | xargs grep TanLambdaErrorScale
./sid01/SimpleTrack.properties:TanLambdaErrorScale: 1.000
(...)
-------

this command tells you which property file defines the parameter you are looking for.

Good luck,
Guilherme
