Hi,

Are there some simple
stand-alone examples of reading stdhep files and making histograms from 4-vectors ?

Also is there a straightforward way to filter certain
events from stdhep files ?

I managed to get something working in JAS3 but have
some issues with what appear to be incorrectly formatted stdhep files. When scaling this up to many more events I'd
prefer to do this either in C++ or F77. If we're going to be
using the benchmarking 4-vectors for lots of studies, it would be good to have utilities available to do some QC before full simulation.

If the file was an LCIO file I could use whatever language
I wanted. Not sure whether being able to convert stdhep to LCIO would be a desirable thing ?

regards
Graham
