Hi Anglea,

GEANT (in capital letters) and also the year 1993 sound pretty much like the old, Fortran-based GEANT3. The term “Birk” appears neither in the Physics Reference Manual nor in the source code of the current Geant4 release 9.1, but you may want to browse through the Physics Reference to see if the same thing is just named differently.
