Hi,

I have another problem with LCCD and this is somehow a constraint in the usage:

If I make a folder in the CondDBMySQL database, for example for pedestal data for a specific run:
/meditpc/pedestals/6902
Then I can tag this folder for example to tag "0.40".

If I then make another folder for the next run:
/meditpc/pedestals/6903
I cannot tag it to "0.40" because this tag is already used - any other tag works.

So it's not really folder tagging, it more like database tagging which might offer a bit too less flexibility. Usually you would like to tag one kind of conditions for a specific run or period of time but not all conditions data at once (especially if you work with more than one prototype setup).
Also it's a bit surprising, since the function is called "DBInterface::tagFolder(...)" Wink

It is also strange that tagging works only if you use a DBInterface connection that has before been used to write conditions data. If I -after closing the old DBInterface connection- open a new one for tagging, I get an error.
This is not an extremly serious limitation, but makes it hard to separate different functions in the code to provide a clean class layout and avoid duplication...

Is LCCD/ConDBMySQL meant to work like this or is this a bug in the software?

CU, Ralf.
