Hi,

I am having problems reading back a CalorimeterHit collection from DigiSim package (Java version). I convert all RawCalorimeterHit into CalorimeterHits, and save the CalorimeterHits collection back into the event. Then I try to read it back using dumpevent from LCIO library v01-04.

By setting record, block, stream managers verbosities to SIO_ALL, I can see this error message:

-------------
SIO: [digisim_slcio/LCEvent/] Record header read
SIO: [Block Manager] Block HcalBarrRaw2sim is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block MCParticle is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block HcalEndcapHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block HcalBarrHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block EcalEndcapHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block EcalBarrHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block HcalBarrRawHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [Block Manager] Block HcalBarrDigiHits is defined (pointer returned)
SIO: [digisim_slcio/LCEvent/HcalBarrDigiHits] Read request exceeds size of block!
SIO: [digisim_slcio/LCEvent/] Unpacking error
----------------

So it looks like I have a "Read request exceeds size of block" error in the HcalBarrDigiHits collection, which contains CalorimeterHits.

How I should go about debugging this problem?

If it helps, the DigiSim output file which produces the error above from dumpevent is posted at http://nicadd.niu.edu/~lima/digisim.slcio

Thanks in advance for any help,
Guilherme
