TPCCondData: TPCConditions and ChannelCorrection [message #574] Thu, 03 August 2006 12:47 Go to previous message

I have one question each about the TPCConditions and ChannelCorrection classes.

In our simulation we have a transverse/defocussing parameter in units of um / sqrt(cm). In the TPCConditions there are two parameters. One is get(Long/Trans)DiffusionCoef in units of sqrt(mm). The second is get(Long/Trans)Defocussing which is in units of mm. What is the meaning of these parameters and is it possible to interchange between our two systems?

Also in our simulation we simulate the electronics with two different classes. One is for the construction of a signal (number of electrons per time bin) and the other creates the fadc spectrum. There are five parameters per channel in total for these classes which are needed by the reconstruction processors. Is the correct way to store these parameters in the ChannelCorrection::setChannelCalibrationFactors() method or is that used for something else? How have other groups passed parameters from the simulation to the reconstruction?
