Hello!

There were two reasons I decided to use that format for calculating the position of the primary ionization:

  1. I wasn't certain everyone was using the "nominal point of interaction" as the origin of the coordinate system. Using that formula removes dependence on a specified origin.
  2. The function "getMaxDriftLength()" from GEAR seemed ambiguous. Is the maximum drift length the distance from the IP to the readout electronics? Or is it the distance between the two endplates?
